Where:
A Kontrei(Region) is any limited geographic area with specific characteristics due to its natural and cultural integrity and dynamics
A Place is a chip of a kontrei
Now South Africa speaks kontrei language in terms of the diversity of regions with names like :
The Fairest Cape, Transkei,
Green Midlands, Boland
The Lowveld, West Coast
Highveld, Namaqualand,
Riemland, Klein Karoo
Bushmanland Camdeboo
To experience the diversity, product owners are selected from places in a particular Kontrei where their hosting, accommodation in terms of buildings and interior and attractions offered, most probably will give the visitor an authentic, enlightening experience of that Kontrei.
Thus the market is the “no more mass tourism” market where the travellers go slow and spend more time on value added experiences – natural and cultural -in one or two kontreis, hosted and guided by local charm.
THE PURPOSE –
Is to experience South and Southern Africa via its diversity of regions.
The natural and cultural assets of a kontrei is packaged to be consumed in an interactive and participated way
Selected hosts from the various regions will host and guide the guest in an enlightening way.
All these accommodations, tours and attractions are produced in a sustainable way – transparent to the sustainable consumer.
The itineraries are designed to Go Slow and Experience More. Stay at least 2 nights per destination
